Financial Aid

FAFSA
As you are awaiting college acceptances, it is important to fill out the financial aid application at www.fafsa.ed.gov. By filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid), you are hoping to receive aid from the government as well as from the accepted college of your choice. By not filling out the FAFSA, you will not receive any financial aid and will be expected to pay the full price for your college bill. Once you are in college, it is important to fill out the FAFSA every year!! You will typically want to have the FAFSA completed by April (the latest) of every year that you are enrolled in college.

CSS Profile (College Scholarship Service Profile)
If you are applying to private colleges or universities, you will need to fill out the CSS Profile along with the FAFSA while applying for financial aid. Also, if you attend a private college or university, you will need to fill out the CSS Profile every year along with the FAFSA!! You can fill out the CSS Profile at www.collegeboard.com. The CSS is much more detailed than the FAFSA. Unlike the FAFSA, the CSS costs money to submit. Depending on your parent's income, the CSS automatically determines if you are eligible for a discount price when submitting the CSS.
